French-imported Royale Chambord Liqueur tastes like black raspberry. A premium cognac, matured for at least four years in oak barrels, is infused with black raspberries, or framboises noires as they are known in France. Extracts of red raspberries, currants, and blackberries are added after this basic infusion. As the liqueur is almost finished, additional herbs, orange, and lemon are added, along with spices like mace, cinnamon, ginger, cloves, and vanilla. Before the entire mixture is aged in barrels, acacia honey is added.
