Detail
Rémy Martin 1738 Accord Royal honors a significant turning point in our past. King Louis XV of France, enamored by Rémy Martin's cognac, gave him exclusive rights to establish new vineyards by an accord royal, or royal license, in 1738, just 14 years after Rémy Martin began producing cognacs. This exceptional royal license was granted in recognition of Mr. Rémy Martin's exceptional craftsmanship—a mark of a true connoisseur. Cellar Master Georges Clot made the decision in 1997 to produce a new cognac that paid homage to the house's early craftsmanship ethos and was named after this regal act. Accord Royal was founded in 1738. At the San Francisco World Spirits Competition in 2014, Rémy Martin 1738 Accord Royal took home the Double Gold award.
