Detail
The Nonino family has been in search for the perfect Amaro recipe since 1933, when Antonio Nonini first created Amaro Carnia, with an infusion of herbs from the mountains of Friuli, using grappa as the alcoholic base. In 20 years, Silvia Nonino, the first woman to manage a distillery, would enrich the recipe with hand-selected botanicals, birthing a stronger Amaro Friuli. Nearly 50 years passed before another change was made, this one bigger and bolder than ever before, but with the biggest improvement as well: in 1992, Cristina, Antonella, and Elisabetta Nonino replaced grappa in the family Amaro with ÙE Grape distillate that was aged in barriques and small casks, created by their parents in 1984. And so, Amaro Nonino Quintessentia is born. This Amaro is a celebration of the Nonino family and their hard-earned knowledge, of the Friuli region, and of Aperitifs. Crafted from natural botanicals from near and afar, this Amaro is craft distilled in copper steam stills and aged for a minimum of 1 year. Bottled at an ABV of 35% in an old pharmacy bottle that is a testament to the alchemic achievement that is Amaro Nonino Quintessentia. Grab your bottle today!
