This is how the Martell House was born in the department of Charente, now the pioneer and oldest producer of cognacs in France. Jean Martell also managed to improve his own distillation process and, for more than 300 years, his great legacy has been passed down from generation to generation. Cognac Martell XO (Extra Old) is a blend of selected eaux-de-vie from Grande Champagne and Borderies, two outstanding crus from the Cognac region. The XO label indicates that the youngest spirits in this blend are aged for a minimum of 6 years.
