The Componibili 2 Container Mattwas designed by Anna Castelli Ferrieri for the brand Kartell.Castelli Ferrieri was an Italian architect as well as an industrial designer. She led the way for other women when she graduated from the highly esteemed Polytechnic of Milan. She went on to start Kartell with her husband Giuolio Castelli. Their goal was to design and manufacture high-quality furniture and accessories from plastic.The Componibili 2 Container Mattis one such product. It was designed in 1969 but it is still useful, functional and beautiful today. It is an ABS plastic storage unit that can be used in different ways and is stackable. It can store a variety of items in the bathroom, bedroom, children's playroom and other rooms in a house. It measures 40 x 32 cm. It can be opened and expanded to cater for storage needs as desired, being comprised of two circular storage units with sliding doors. The Componibili 2 Container Matt and its glossy counterpart has received international design recognition since it was released and is permanently displayed at MoMA in New York and at the Pompidou Centre in Paris. It is a functional, flexible and good-looking storage unit.
