Crystal Head Onyx Vodka

Crystal Head Onyx 70cl Vodka is a Canadian vodka made from blue agave and is filtered with diamonds. Crystal Head Onyx 70cl Vodka is founded in 2007 by actor Dan Aykroyd and artist John Alexander, Crystal Head Vodka was intended to be an additive-free option in a spirits market full of glycerol, citrus oils and sugar. Born out of the duo's fascination with the legend of the 13 crystal skulls, each bottle has a design distinct from a crystal skull. With each release, Crystal Head combines a variety of premium vodka with an attractive bottle. Their latest batch follows the trend, albeit with an interesting twist. Where most vodkas are made from fermented beans, Crystal Head took a different approach with "Onyx." Made from Blue Weber Agave and from a single Mexican farm, this black skull bottled distillate is the first commercial vodka to be distilled from agave. As such, it is drunk as smooth as any vodka, but tastes more like tequila, with an unmistakably earthy quality and a hint of syrupy sweetness. Finished with green grass, pepper and citrus fruits, this refreshing vodka makes a great cocktail component. As with all Crystal Head releases, Onyx is mixed with the purest water in Newfoundland, Canada, and filtered through more than 10,000 Herkimer diamonds.
