Detail
The Celestron NexStar 8SE Schmidt-Cassegrain Computerized Telescope is a telescope designed for clarity for amateur or professional astronomers. Even for dark and very distant views, this telescope enhances image quality and eliminates visual distortions more than a normal telescope. This is an 8-inch aperture Schmidt-Cassegrain with updated features. It has excellent light-gathering ability for incredible views of deep sky objects. Plus, it has a fully automated GoTo computerized mount with a database of more than 40,000 celestial objects and auto tracking of those objects. It's easy to use thanks to a unique single fork arm design with a sturdy steel tripod that both break down into multiple components for portability and easy assembly. With 2032mm focal length, an XLT high transmission lens coating system to minimize light loss and an image-flattening coma-free optical design, this is a high quality optical tool for anyone to use. High Transmission Lens Coating The Celestron NexStar 8SE Schmidt-Cassegrain Computerized Telescope is a reflecting telescope that captures light through a lens and bounces it off a series of mirrors into the eyepiece where you then see an image. Every mirror reflection causes light loss in reflecting telescopes. But the XLT ultra-high transmission lens coating in this telescope allows you to view even dark and distant images in high quality. The coating increases the amount of light transferred to the eyepiece, making your image brighter and clearer. High Aperture for More Details The NexStar 8SE Telescope features a full 8 inches of aperture to reveal details in even faint celestial objects. The light gathering ability of this telescope allows you to see Cassini's Division in Saturn's rings, Jupter's cloud bands and the Great Red Spot. You can also see distant stars and detailed geographic features and craters on the moon. NexStar Computer System This is a computerized telescope equipped with the on-board NexStar computer system. That system includes a library preloaded with 40,000 objects. A corresponding GPS system that quickly and accurately finds any of those objects after just a few button presses. The computer system is preprogrammed with SkyTours -- multiple guided tours of the sky -- so that you don't have to manually readjust the telescope for every celestial object you look at. View your celestial objects with NexStar+ hand control. Motorized Tripod Mount &l
